Notify if a Jira issue is escalated

When to Use

You want your team to be notified if someone has escalated an issue in Jira. This is useful if a customer or client has an important issue that needs addressing.


1) Install the Slack Jira Integration app from the Atlassian Marketplace and connect it to Slack using the instructions available in the Getting Started guide.
2) Open any channel in JiraSlack or create a new one. Open Jira Filters and select Advanced JQL Filter. Enter your project name and label "escalated". Click the "Create" button.
3) Go to your board and make some changes with a ticket. For example, add another label. Check the notifications in the created or edited Slack channel. They should not come. Then add to your ticket label jira_escalated.


Check the notifications in the Slack channel. You will see the data about the ticket with the jira_escalated label.
