The Bitband Jenkins-Jira Integration allows you to set up rules and trigger actions after a build or job is synchronized.
For this, go to the “Manage Rules” tab of the application and click “Add Rule”.

For the trigger, you can either select “When Job is Synchronized” or “When Build is Synchronized”.

For the performed action you can choose to create a new issue, transition an issue, comment on an issue, edit an issue or create a version.

If you want to set up a rule to create a Jira issue when a Jenkins job or build is synchronized, you need to select the project where you want to create the issue and the issue type.

Please note that after synchronizing a job or a build, it can take up to ten minutes for the new issue to appear.
